Spain has a lot of wine-producing regions, more than half DO and two DOC, Rioja and Priorato. The most common red grape is Tempranillo, often referred as Spain’s noble grape. It ripens quite early and is widely planted in other parts of the world like USA and New Zealand. Tempranillo wines are usually fruity, with attractive berries, plum aromas and can be consumed quite young.
